Albums
The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and a number of compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. The band has won multiple Grammy Awards for their work.
Before the formation of Toto the group, members worked as session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs album from 1975 Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in the year 1976 in the wake of the collaboration.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics due to not having hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Fredericksen left The band held auditions to find a new frontman. The band selected guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.
In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by re-discovering old demos and tapes to release a special record called Toto XX. The album was well-received by fans and the band went on a tour with former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro, and Joseph Williams.
During the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun the drummer Leland Sklar left the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set titled Falling in Between, which included recordings from the tour as well as an interview with Toto.

The band decided to let him leave at the end of the tour and hired singer/guitarist Joseph Williams in his place. Drummer David Hungate also left the band after the tour. Leland Sklar was his replacement.

Toto has released a variety of music videos. The band has also released a number of compilation videos and DVDs. The band's most popular video is "Africa" which has over one billion views. The video is set in a library, with the band performing on top of a stack of African books.
The track "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. The song was written by the band members and produced David Paich. It was a huge success in Europe and a variety of other countries.
